Your steady ground and supporting structure.

Framework Coaching is the life coaching practice of Penland-based artist Rachel Meginnes.

Nurturing your capacity for sustainable creation is at the heart of what I do.

I coach self-led creators — artists, innovators and organizational leaders who seek to bring a more vibrant and nourishing future to life.

I believe our world can thrive, and you, as a creative, lead the way.

In my 30+ year creative journey, I have experienced the peculiar impasses that creatives face oftentimes alone. The disconnection felt in a missed opportunity. The pain of pushing too hard, for too long. The extreme exhaustion that only come from burnout. I have witnessed the ways our energy reserves get depleted by the work we do.

Sustainable creation only develops out of systems that are built and designed to simultaneously regenerate the energy they produce. You, my fellow creative, are no different.

I support you.

Together we develop your ability to sustainably create and thrive.

  • “In the six months of working with Rachel, she wholeheartedly changed my life and got me on a path I feel proud to be on.

Before our work together, I was chasing an external change that would get me out of the discomfort I felt about my life, like a change in career or moving to a new location. The change I experienced being coached by Rachel was a deeply rooted internal change that guided me to see and experience my surroundings fully and more spaciously.

  • "I always knew that Rachel wanted to know me and that she was there with me on my journey.

Our work meant that I was able to move on from a job that was not serving me and in fact creating distress in my life. Our work meant that I closed a small retail shop that I had started and poured so much of my being into for nearly six years to do work that I love (working with fabric and sewing) to help other small businesses achieve their goals. Our work has brought me closer to living my ideal life.”

  • "Rachel's knowledge of the creative process and how it is impacted by our life stories brings a critical & compassionate lens to her role as a coach.

Rachel understands what it means to be an artist, not only in the professional sense, but also in how we interact with the world we live in. Working with Rachel has been one of the most transformative experiences I have had. She has provided me with accountability, resources, and empathy that have allowed me to shift my idea from what I "should be making" to "what I want to be making."

  • “After a 25-year career in corporate training, I found myself in a significant career transition and sought out Rachel for help progressing toward my goals.

Rachel’s ability to listen, reflect, and ask critical questions enabled me to find answers, figure out next steps, and understand the beliefs I was carrying around that no longer served me. My coaching experience with Rachel was pivotal in helping me develop the necessary tools for reframing how I see myself in this next phase of my life. Rachel is a gifted coach and an incredible human being.”
